Cozy, functional space near downtown Burlingame. Close to SFO airport, Caltrain, and restaurants. This listing is for a private 1-bed, 1-bath apartment - you'll be the only one in the unit! Be aware that there is no AC and it can get hot during warm days. We love sharing our space with travelers who want a taste of home while visiting the Peninsula. Good to know
This apartment is nestled in a safe neighborhood a mile from the restaurants, bars, and shops found in Downtown Burlingame, slightly less than a mile from the Burlingame Caltrain station, and 4.7 miles from San Francisco International Airport. It is adjacent to Highway 101, a block away from a nice neighborhood park with a playground, and a short walk away from Coyote Point Recreation Area. Pictures are accurate and the amenity list is up-to-date, so please review to make sure the space will meet your expectations. We want our guests to be as comfortable and happy as possible! SLEEPING AREAS Bedroom - 1 King Bed (Sleeps 2) Living Room - Twin Futon (Sleeps 1 Adult; this can be used as a space for your own guests should you choose to stay) KITCHEN Cook something delightful in the fully-stocked kitchen. It has an electric stove, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, and anything else you might need to cook a delicious meal. Please note that the unit does NOT have a dishwasher or garbage disposal. A dish drying rack is provided for your convenience! A Keurig coffeemaker and pods are available in the kitchen. DINING AREA The dining area will seat 4 and is adjacent to the kitchen. We usually have it shoved against the wall as a breakfast nook (seats 3) but it can easily be pulled out (the 4th chair is kept in the bedroom's walk-in closet). LIVING ROOM Social living area with plenty of seating, WiFi, 50” 4k Smart HDTV (we do not have cable or satellite), and an Amazon Echo for listening to music. PARKING If you'll have a car, let us know and we can secure a complimentary space in the apartment carport for you. Free street parking is also available on adjacent streets if you'll have more than one car. LAUNDRY & TRASH A paid washer ($1.00 per load) and dryer ($.75 per load) are available for use on the lower level of the apartment building. Keys to both the laundry room and trash room are supplied in the apartment. GROCERY SHOPPING We are .5 miles from a Safeway grocery store, CVS, and Starbucks. You'll have plenty of space for food storage in the kitchen cupboards and fridge. NOTE: NO AIR CONDITIONING Please note that there is a heater, but the apartment is not equipped with air conditioning (this is pretty typical of most older buildings on the upper Peninsula) and can get very warm during heat waves. We live in the same apartment complex and also have the same setup, so we can empathize! We want to ensure prospective guests know and accept this before booking. We do provide a fan in the unit for your convenience.

The apartment is a short walk (<1 mile) from Downtown Burlingame's restaurants, bars, and shops. It is on the outskirts of the Lyon Hoag neighborhood of Burlingame and borders on a small commercial street. The Burlingame Caltrain station is a 10-15 minute walk, also less than a mile away. Safeway (grocery), Starbucks, and CVS are all .5 miles away. SFO is a ~7 min (4.5 mi) drive.
